CA SES certificates installation instructions - Internet Explorer

In order to keep your communication safe and secret there is an encrypted type of internet protocol (https) used in some SES application which is signed by certificate authorities CA1 SES and CA2 SES. Therefore it is recommended to install root certificate of these authorities. Installation of root certificate will cause addition of CA1 SES and CA2 SES to trusted CA list and prevent you from annoying browser messages about unknown certification issuer at application start time.

Certificates CA1 SES and CA2 SES are used for signing of all other *.ses.sk certificates (webmail.ses.sk, obedy.ses.sk, smtp.ses.sk...) so as a consequence of this installation your web browser will treat any other https://*.ses.sk applications as trustworthy.

• Internet Explorer installation instructions:

• Save files cacert.crt and ca2cert.crt to your computer.
• Select menu Tools, Internet options, choose bookmark Content and select Certificates.

     

• Select bookmark "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" and click Import.

 

• Browse for cacert.crt file (CA1 SES certificate) and confirm adding it into trusted CA store.

   

• Finish the Certificate import wizard.
• In case of successful import you should see CA1 SES in authorities list now. By means of highlighting CA1 SES row and selecting View button you can examine the new certificate (issuer, validity, fingerprint...).
• Repeat these steps for ca2cert.crt file (CA2 SES certificate) as well.

   

• Close Internet Explorer.
• Internet Explorer will treat certificates CA1 SES and CA2 SES as trustworthy at next start.
